Vision Statement and Plan

Vision Statement:

The Vision that we have is one of furthering the Lord’s New Testament Church by the carrying out of the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19, 20. This must be done through evangelism, preaching of the Word of God, and the different Ministries within the Church. In addition to this important work must be the equipping of the Saints of God for their spiritual growth and edification in order to do the work of the former.

Vision Plan:

In order to achieve these two very distinct directives from God’s Word we must establish in the hearts and minds of all those who have been called out in His church that the goal of the church is to reach the lost. This is done through prayer, the study of the Word of God, and obedience to the Holy Spirit.

  • As a church we must come together and pray for the lost and for each other. (cf. Eph. 6:18, 1 Tim. 2:1)
  • We must also study the Word of God. This is done through corporate Bible study and individual study. (cf. 2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Tim. 2:15)
  • As much as we are able we must follow both corporately and individually follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit and be in obedience to it. This is accomplished in the doing of both of the previous.

In addition to these we must strive in earnest to evangelize those around us. This is the ultimate show of compassion from the Christian. Showing the unbeliever how to be reconciled to a God that he has been alienated from is compassion in action. This will accomplish the Great Commission. We must seek, like our Lord, out those who are lost and lead them to the One who can save them from the Judgment of God.

The equipping of the Saints is the primary goal of those whom God has raised up to lead and teach. We must give the body of Christ the tools and teach them to use the gifts that they have given by God that they may accomplish the Great Commission and become mature in their faith.

(cf. 1 Thess. 5:11-13, Eph. 4:11-16, 2 Tim. 2:24-26)
